The Mercury 15MH is a 15-horsepower FourStroke running a 333cc twin-cylinder block with electronic fuel injection, so there’s no choke and no priming, just a pull and it fires. That EFI also holds a steady idle and cleaner fuel burn than a carbureted motor, and the block is shared with Mercury’s 20, so it’s loafing at this rating. It starts on a rope, steers by twist-grip tiller with a 15-inch short shaft, shifts forward-neutral-reverse, feeds from an external tank, and weighs 105 lbs with saltwater anodes and corrosion protection throughout.

Fuel injection earns its keep on a cold morning at the ramp, when a carbureted motor wants coaxing and this one starts like it’s July.
